Kausani is a beautiful hill station and Village situated in Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand, India. It is famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300 km-wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. It is also known as Switzerland of India a name given by Mahtma Gandi. Kausani is located 52 km north of Almora, a major hill station of kumaon region.Kausani is also known as trekking hub of India as it is starting point for many famous trek of Indian Himalayan region.
March-June is best time to visit Kausani. But it can be visited at any time of the year as it experiences a pleasant climate all around the year.
By Train: Kathgodam is the nearest Railway Station only 64 Kms away and connected with New Delhi, Kolkata and Lucknow by train services.
By Air: The closest airport is in Pantnagar which is 164km from Nainital. There are a number of flights from all parts of the country. The airport at Pantnagar makes Kausani more accessible for those who live across the country.
