Monsoon time from June to August is off season in Goa.Only Indian tourist go to Goa in Monsoon season. During this Month, most of the airline reduces the airfares to attract the more tourist. You can grab the opportunity to plan your Goa trip in cheap flight rates.

Not only airlines reduces the fares, most of the Hotels in Goa also offers huge discount on the room rates. During the Monsoon season, you can book good hotel in almost half of the peak time rates.

Panoramic View of Misty Western Ghats

During the Monsoon, Western Ghats turns into wonderland. Rain brings the best of Western Ghats, it turns into lust green, waterfall erupts from all over the hills and the top of the hill covered in mist. This is the best time to hit the eastern side of goa. There are many places near Goa-Karnataka border where you can enjoy the beautiful Western Ghats.

Low Rent Rates on Bikes & Scooter

    

You can’t roam in Goa without hiring the Scooter or Bikes. During the Monsoon only families travel to Goa and they usually do not hire the two wheelers. This makes the sharp decline for the two wheeler renting customers. You can use this opportunity to take the scooter or bike in  rent at very cheap rates. I just paid Rs. 350 for the Bajaj Avenger 220 which is extremely low.

TIP: It's very difficult to ride scooter in rains so I recommend you to go for the Bikes.

Chasing Waterfalls

   

If you love the Waterfall then this is the best time to visit the Goa. Almost all the waterfalls on its full glory and you can visit some of them and enjoy the beautiful view of waterfalls. Through Goa biggest waterfall Dudhsagar fall is closed for the tourist in Monsoon but you can visit other small waterfalls located all over the Goa specially on Goa-Karnataka border.

You can enjoy the beautiful view from the Chopara Fort aka Dil Chahta hai fort. On the left hand side, you can see the Vagator Beach and on the right hand side you can view confluence of Chopara River and Arabian Sea.

TIP: Make sure you carry water bottle as you've to do the little hike to reach the chopara fort and also sometimes weather becomes very humid.
