The trekking trail to Ilaqua Got starts from Galu Devi temple above Dharamkot village near Dharamshala and passes through the camping ground of Triund, snowline cafe.

Why climb the trail to Triund? Meadows abound near the crest of Dhauladhars providing rich pastures for grazing where large numbers of Gaddi shepherds take their flocks. The top of the crest is buried under vast expanses of thick snow. Triund – Ilaqua Ghot approached from the hill station of McLeod Ganj, is the nearest and most accessible snow line in the Indian Himalayas.

MadTrek expects you to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you don’t want to carry your backpack so you can give it to porter, but you have to inform us in advance and have to pay Rs. 400/- extra per day per bag.
